This weekend i got to experience one of my favorite rap artist perform live at Santos in NYC for the first time. Definitely was a legendary performance for Lil B "The Based God" as he rocked a sold out show. It was very inspiring to see Lil B perform because of the simple fact it was his first show ever in NYC and all the tickets were gone and to see all his fans joined together to have a good time.I remember when no one in New York City with the exception of a few people didn't even know who Lil B was as an artist.
That shows you with dedication you can make anything happen by working hard to achieve your dreams and goals. I bet he didn't even know that the show was going to turn out the way it did. Hopefully i get some footage from the show and i'll post it on here to show how good of a show it was! Especially since DJ Woogie was on the one's and two's. Everybody at the concert was "Cooking" which is a dance Lil B made up.
The opening act for the show was whack though. I couldn't tell you who performed if i wanted to..I wasn't even paying attention myself. My friends and I that I attended the performance with were actually sitting right behind Lil B as he was performing so imagine all the stuff we saw during the performance... Hopefully one day I get to link up with Lil B and get some music done in the studio before he blows up as an artist...I actually spoke to him on twitter plenty of times and got the chance to speak to him on the phone to discuss business. If you have a twitter account you can follow "The Based God" at @LILBTHEBASEDGOD to learn more about him.
